How to visit forest



Our life is monotonous and some times we feel boring to our monotonous life. We need to make fresh our mind for making tasks easy. A forest life is fresh and free from pollution. There are no difficulties of forest life. Some natural disasters create damage to the forest but other things are all well. If you visit a forest you feel a different taste of life. Your every step into the forest makes you charming. You find new adventure and will get new experience to visit a forest.

It is not difficult to visit forest from any place of the country. If a person who wants to visit forest; at first he have collects some information about where he wants to visit. There are so many tourisom corporations now available in Bangladesh. They provide tour packages like 3 days or one week package or so on.

If anybody wants to visit personally, he has so many opportunity to visit. In every forest there are guest houses or some hotel, motel available. The transport ways are well and you'll find there guide to visit forest.

Chittagong Hill tracts



Chittagong hill tracts are divided into three districts like Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban. Its really different of normal land or plane land where we live. One who visit for the first time to these places he must be astonished to see the beauty of hills and hilly jungle. If a person is lucky then he'll see some deer, monkey, elephant or other wild animal. There are many natural stream of cold water. If anybodey fill thirsty he'll drink the stream water. There are many historical places like buddah mondir, world symmetry and other religious things available there. So don't hesitate to visit there for cheer your mind.

Dula Hazra Safari Park

It is the only safari park of Bangladesh. It is situated in the chittagong division. You can see the wild animals there which are not in case. There are so many types of wild animals your known and unknown. You feel a good taste of visiting a forest there.

Lawacherra Rain Forest

Lawacherra Rain Forest is one of the important & well-reserved forests in Bangladesh.  It is situated in the Moulovibazar district of Sylhet. Here visitor may see gibbons swimming through the trees and birds like bee-eater owls parrot. It is a good habitant of Deer, leopard, wild chicken, squirrel, and python. Don't miss it especially if you are bird watcher. The terrain is hilly and vegetation is fairly thick. Only one rare Chloroform tree of Asia is prime attraction.

Shitakundu Eco-Park

Shitakundu is about 37 km far from Chittagong city. Famous among the many temples in this place, the Chandranath Temple and the Buddhist Temple has a footprint of Lord Buddha. These places particularly the hilltops are regarded as very sacred by the Buddhists and the Hindus. Siva-chaturdashi festival is held every year in February when thousands of pilgrims assemble for the celebrations, which last about ten days. There is a salt-water spring 5 km. to the north of Sitakunda, known as Labanakhya. 

You can enjoy the steer ridings to go to Chandranath’s temple by walking. It is situated on the top of the hill from where you can enjoy the beauty of the sea & also the hill areas. Now in sitakunda there’s made an eco park. You can visit the eco park and make your mind more fresh.

Gajni Parjatan Center, Sherpur


Gajni Parjatan Center is 220 km far from Dhaka. Where you will find the natural beauty of hills, lakes, forest & lots of birds here, it is a natural tourist spot where you can see the tribal life of our tribes. You can enjoy boating in the lake and also there is a natural waterfall what you will like to watch. If you are lucky, enough you can see the wild elephants in the forest. There is a big watch tower where you observe total area if you have a binocular.

Bhawal National Park, Gazipur

Bhawal National Park is in Gazipur district 45 km far from Dhaka in the north side. It is a vast (1,600 acres) national recreational forest with Picnic spots; jangles of Gajari trees surrounded by a beautiful lake .you can enjoy boats horse riding here. Especially in the winter, season lots of picnic party enjoy their day in this park. There is a watch tower to observe the whole forest at a point.

Where you observe from Sundarban


You can visit sundarban at any place from Bangladesh or rest of the world. You first go to the district from where you want to visit. Like if you want to vist Sundarbon to the "Hiron point".
There are also two other Heritage side in Sunderban; one is Kochikhali and the other is Mandarbaria where you will find dears and birds. If you are lucky you can see the Great Royal Bengal Tiger, but for sure you can at least see the stepping of Great Royal Bengal Tiger here and there in these spots.a tourist spot in Sunderban. It is called the world heritage state. You can enjoy the beauty of wild nature and dotted dears walking and running in Hiron point. 
Katka is one of Heritage sites in Sunderban. In Katka there is a wooden watching tower of 40 ft. high from where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of Sunderban. A beautiful sea beach is there is Katka; you will enjoy while you are walking to go the beach from the watching tower. Verities birds are visible in Katka.
You can visit sundarban by these places . These places are safe and you can observe different kinds of wild animals and birds from there.


Wild life of Sundarban





Sundarban has a great eco system. There are so many types of animals and birds are there. Recent studies revealed that the Bangladesh Sundarbans support diverse biological resources including at least 120 species of commercially important fishes, 270 species of birds, 42 species of mammals, 35 reptiles and eight amphibian species. This represents a significant proportion of the species present in Bangladesh (i.e. about 30% of the reptiles, 37% the birds and 34% of the mammals) and includes a large number of species which are now extinct elsewhere in the country. Two amphibians, 14 reptiles, 25 aves and five mammals are presently endangered. The Sundarbans is an important wintering area for migrant water birds and is an area suitable for watching and studying avifauna.


The Sundarbans were home to approximately 500 Bengal tigers in 2004, one of the largest single population of tigers. Tiger attacks are frequent in the Sundarbans. Between 100 and 250 people are killed per year. However, owing to various measures taken for safety, there have been no reports of deaths since 2004 in the Indian portion of the Sundarbans

Geographical info of Sundarnban


Sundarban is nearly 2400 sq. miles or 6000 sq. km. It has some part in India and rest of the part in Bangladesh.  
The forest limit can be categorise as: North-Bagerhat, Khulna and Sathkira districts : South-Bay of Bengal; East-Baleswar (or Haringhata) river, Perojpur, Barisal district, and West-Raimangal and Hariabhanga rivers which partially form Bangladesh boundary with West Bengal in India.

Sundarbans National Park is the largest estuarine mangrove forest in the world. Twenty-six of the fifty broad mangrove types found in the world grow well in the Sundarbans. The commonly identifiable vegetation that grow in the dense mangrove forests at the Sundarbans are salt water mixed forest, mangrove scrub, brackish water mixed forest, littoral forest, wet forest and wet alluvial grass forests.

Sundarban is the largest mangrove forest of the whole world. The name Sundarban can be literally translated as "beautiful jungle" or "beautiful forest" in the Bengali language (Sundar means "beautiful" and bans means "forest" or "jungle"). The name may have been derived from the Sundari trees that are found in Sundarbans in large numbers.
